Facing the announced infantile obesity curse, more of twenty associations and scholarly societies sustain the project of Roselyne Bachelot, minister of health, to limit the advertisement television food destiny to the children.

This project saw the day February 4, 2008 and had caused positive reactions then on behalf of the physicians, families, parents of pupils... However, the idea doesn't delight everybody and in first, the representatives of the advertisers and the agroalimentary industry. He is true that for them, the limitation or deletion of the food pubs destined to the children would represent a big loss.

One estimates today to more of one billion of euros the returns brought by this type of advertisements, per year, for the chains. However one knows that today in France, already close to a child out of five is in overweight, or even obese. Phenomenon in full flight since 30 years about...

This project to forbid the advertisements is therefore far from being buried, even though the ministry of the Culture and the Communication seems against this interdiction. In case of failure of the negotiations, Roselyne Bachelot didn't exclude the idea of legislative measures forbidding some advertisements. Measures that don't fail to be supported by the associations, physicians, families.
