Vitamins TO, B, C, D, E, K,:  a cocktail of indispensable micronutriments to our body... Because we doesn't know how to manufacture them! The needs in vitamins vary according to age, the sex and the particular situations of life. In general, a varied and balanced food permits to cover these advisable contributions.

The vitamins intervene in multiple reactions to assure the good working of our organism. But some specific needs correspond to every stage of life in vitamins.

  ..13 vitamins for life!

Zero calorie, but what energy! Active in quantity minute, the vitamins intervene during numerous reactions in the organism. To the total, 13 vitamins have been identified on this day, distributed in two categories.
The fat-soluble vitamins (TO, D, E, K) are associated to the fat matters of food and meet notably in oils, butter, meat or cheese. In the organism, they are stocked to the level of the liver and the adipose cloth, before being freed gradually according to our needs. If the risk of hypervitaminose exists, to consume one of these vitamins in excess remained rare.
The water-soluble vitamins (8 vitamins of the B group and the C vitamin) are transported by the water of food. They cannot be stocked in the organism:  their contribution must be therefore daily. No risk in case of excessive contribution, the surplus is eliminated in urines.

  ..What vitamins at the child?

In period of growth, not question for the children to lack vitamins! The D is especially important because she helps the calcium to set on the bones. If a part of this vitamin is manufactured by skin under the action of the sun, the rest is brought by the food. However, the food that contains it is rare:  let's pitch fat, cut down and enriched some dairy products. Other important vitamin:  the C vitamin, in particular at the teenagers! Because their food more or less déstructurée often lacks cool products (vegetables and fruits).

  ..What vitamins for pregnancy?

The specific needs of the pregnant woman start with the contributions in B9 vitamin (or folates). Because this one intervenes in the development of the nervous system of the fetus. All women in age to procreate must increase their contributions besides in B9:  green vegetables, dry vegetables, cool fruits and cereals are therefore to the program.

The D vitamin also plays a major role in the formation of the child's skeleton. In general, a medicinal supplémentation is practiced to assure the needs that are multiplied by two during pregnancy! The vitamin TO is also indispensable to the first stages of development of the embryo and the fetus. But the food normally provides sufficient contributions.

  ..What vitamins for the seniors?

With age, the risk of deficiency rises... The lack of D vitamin is especially frequent, because of a least exhibition in the sun. The vitamins TO and E also take a major importance because their properties antioxydantes permits to fight against the ageing. The B6 vitamins, B9 and B12 encourage the manufacture of the red globules of blood and intervene in the cardiovascular protection. From where the interest to privilege meats, let's pitch and giblets for the B6 vitamins and B12, as well as the green vegetables and cereals for the B9. Finally, the C vitamin stimulates the defenses of the organism and acts like antioxidant.

Other categories of population also present specific needs:  the smokers for example, for that the needs in C vitamin are increased of about 30%. As for the women who follow some régimes to repetition, they endure deficiencies in fat-soluble vitamins, following the eviction of all food including some greases, and in some vitamins of the B. group The total deficiencies in vitamins are rare. But small deficiencies can occur, dragging fatigue and fragility facing the outside aggressions (stress, infections). To consume too many refined food, not enough vegetables, to have a food déstructurée contributes to a decrease of contribution in vitamins. It is necessary to privilege a varied and balanced food therefore to all ages of life!
