The sharper shapes as the crises of anguish generally appear between 20 and 30 years.

The anguish and the anxiety are extremely near concepts that in terms psychological and/or psychiatric are not dissociated. A common definition according to which the angoisse close to the fear or the feeling of fear or apprehension exists. It is a normal emotion that allows us to react at the time of dangerous situations. For example, when a car speeds along us over, the fear driven us to push us quickly. When the demonstrations of the fear become pathological, one speaks then of an anxious trouble or a pathological anguish that send back to illnesses of several types:  phobia, obsessional unrests, attacks of panic.

In this setting, she is considered like a "fear without object", that means a fear that doesn't lean on elements of reality or threats. Anguished them pathological develop an excessive fear or even exaggerated in relation to the situations. They don't manage anymore to control himself and this in a permanent manner.

How does this anguish appear?

She articulates around three measurements:

Psychologique/cognitive:  The feeling of fear, of concern disrupts the concentration, the attention, the memory.

Physique/physiologique:  the palpitations, the heart that beats quickly, the impression to choke, the pains to the stomach, the thoracic pressure feeling, the dizziness, the perspiration, the puffs of heat, the ants in the hands, the legs that tremble are the main signs of the anguish. In the case of sharp crisis of anguish, these symptoms are going to arrive very quickly and very strong. The anxious have the impression permanently to be stretched with contractions, of the jumpiness sensations.

Comportementale:

There are two types of opposite reactions facing the anguish:

  • the total inhibition:  it is the fact not to be able to act, to have frozen that is to say to be in passivity
  • the disorganized agitation:  anguished it cannot hold in place. He even goes, of fear to be confronted to a situation, as far as leaving a place in which he feels threatened hastily.

One knows today that these three measurements are bound that is to say that more you have fear of something and more you have tendency to avoid it or to renounce. This abandonment reinforces the feeling of fear.
