How to know if your marriage is going to function? ..Conflicts and silences, reasons of divorce An American survey, appeared in the American magazine Newspaper of Marriage and the Family is going maybe to help you. This survey followed 80 couples, gotten married since 5 years, on a length of fourteen years. At the end of four years, 7 couples had divorced. After 10 supplementary years, 13 were not besides more wholes. Two profiles of couples to risk would have been determined thus: the couples who often argue and those that on the contrary has very cold relations. In the two cases it is not of course, really a surprise! The too cold or on the contrary too contradictory couples don't seem makes indeed to get along! ..Two periods to risk This survey also identified two periods to risk. The first concerns the first seven years of marriage during which the probabilities of divorce would be raised. The second period of fragility would be located at the surroundings of 14 years of marriage. According to the psychologists, it explains itself by the more and more big autonomy of the children, that lets to the parents of the time to think about their relation and to make the balance of their marriage. One of the surprises of the survey is to have found a tie between the two profiles to risk and the two periods of fragility.
