The patients don't eat at the hospital! It is what comes to underline the European day of the nutrition in the hospital.
The third edition of the European day of the nutrition to the hospital permits to get a photograph of the nutritional state of the patients staying in hospitable environment. More of 15 000 patients of 24 European countries participated in the operation since an establishment of health, private or public.
The balance of this day reveals a problem of dénutrition of the patients again. When they have been interrogated 38,6% affirmed to have eaten badly during the week precedent him investigates, while less a patient out of two declared to have finished his/her/its meals (13% didn't eat anything to the breakfast and 10% anything to the lunch and dined).
More alarming again, more of a third of the patients, either 35,8%, lost the weight during the last three months.
The results of this survey should allow an awareness of the importance of the nutrition the hospital. Indeed, a dénutrition can aggravate the state of health of the patients seriously.
